A lecture directed by a film critic, historian and expert on the poetics of silent horror in media forms.
Digital technology vs celluloid and the 21st century. The film avant-garde and experiment prove that art can be created directly from found material, the concept is essential and the concept is influenced by the properties of the material.
Hence the questions around matter and material stem from practical mechanics to spiritual and spiritualistic matters. The mediums will be Anger, Brackhage, Deutsch, Kren, Kubelka, Meliés.
